Hi,

Been having bathrooms done so lots of turning the water off at the stop cock.

Problem is that water is still trickling through. We have an unvented cylinder.

Before I get the stop cock changed, just wanted to ask if it could be something to do with the cylinder emptying? Or anything else to check?

Thanks,

Paul.

Even once a stop tap is turned off there will be leak down from what's in the pipework or pressure release from an unvented but if the stop tap is closing off properly then it will stop eventually.

Open all taps upstairs, if you have one, then open the downstairs tap and leave it open, if it's still trickling after say 10 mins and you cant crank the internal tap closed any more, then shut the mains off externally. If it then stops, then the internal tap is passing and needs serviced/replaced
