Waterproofing a Shower Niche

Hi all,

I am currently building a shower niche in my shower stud wall.

I need advice on how to waterproof the shower niche and with what products.

Any experiance , advice and suggestions are more then welcome.

This is my first house and i'm on a massive learning curve.
