Weatherseal alarm

I have just had a rep. from Weatherseal offering an alarm system at the cost of £2950 for an 18 month contract. He did say that this would be all I would have to pay for eight years. He also said this was only for the monitoring as the metropolitan police paid £4520 for the alarm system.
What a rip off.By the way I was,nt born yesterday so told him "NO DEAL".

Cant find any info whatsoever about the alarms or type of alarms they fit.
Looks like they are dragging double glazing sales pitch fruad into the alarm arena.
Whats the tosh about getting eight years for the price of 18 months...
Its quite simple you have paid for 8 yrs monitoring in one go and being LIED to about its cost.

I had a visit last night from Weatherseal alarms. It was supposed to be a no obligation call. The rep arrived, delivered his speech and then asked for my answer! I asked for a copy of the brochure that he was quoting from, but, he claimed, he only had the one copy with another client to see so couldn't leave it with me! I said we'd need to talk about it, so he promptly rang his boss to explain the 'No sale'.

His boss then proceeded to brow beat the rep, before he, eventually passed me the phone! I explained that I had no intention of buying there and then and needed to discuss this with the family, the boss then asked if I had a problem with the system. I explained that the system sounds great, in principle, but would need to compare the market! He didn't like this answer and continued to brow beat me, until I said that I will not be purchasing it today! With that I handed the phone back, explained to the rep that no matter how much brow beating they tried, I wasn't buying.

The deal in question was for the alarm to be provided 'free of charge' and this was 'mine to keep'! For ten years protection I would have to pay £27 per week for 5 years total £7020. Consequently 'No Deal' here either!

I wonder what promises they made you?

If they said that if your alarm goes off the Police 'will' come then they have broken the law.

They told me that weatherseal will guarantee an 8 minute response by the police, fire or Ambulance!

I did laugh, but didn't realise they are breaking the law with that statement.

Because I was in the market for a burglar alarm, filled in an online campare alarms form and they contacted me.

Figured I had nothoing to lose by listening to their speel. Was only after a comparison after all.

The phone call stated that the agent was aware that I only wanted a quote. But obviously, when he arrived he had other intentions, lol.

Nothing ventured as they say!
