woke up this morning and checked,

far as i can see the compressin fitting seems bone dry!

but there seemed to be water from near were the other connection is to the left, ive kept tissue on for a hour and couldnt find any water weeping??

could it be when i had the problem earlier and the water was just sitting there or could it be another connection that needs nipping up??!

thought id sorted it, very odd

Not entirely sure where the leak actually is, but its probably the seal formed by the chrome nut.
Isolate the radiator, allow it to drain down, and remake the join between the valve and the rad tail using some Jet Blue or similar. A few turns of ptfe tape around the seal won't hurt either but don't allow it to be pushed into the rad.
If its the tail thats leaking, much the same applies......some sealant on the threads, a good few wraps of ptfe tape, a smear more sealant and firmly screw it back in.

Well, its not the way I would do it mate - these things do tend to come back to haunt.
I have heard of leak sealants being well effective though to be fair, but no personal experience. If you do go down this route, buy quality products though, not this no nonsense rubbish.

Fernox do both - one type injects into the radiator, the other is poured into the header tank. You'll need to let some of the water out of the system though, so the sealer gets where it needs to be.
I've no idea how the inhibitor is affected.
Fernox F4 is the one.

The problem with compression joints is the knock-on effect of fiddling with a joint. It can upset the next joint along, causing a leak, unless everything is held steady.

Get yourself a pair of grips and an adjustable.

Every single nut you see around that area of the radiator... tighten it, whilst holding the rest of the valve with the grips to make sure the valve doesn't spin or anything. I don't see why you are having trouble if you follow this. Never had any experience with a leak sealer, but I know I wouldn't sleep at night if I used it in a customer's home.
