For mixing small amounts, I use a calpol syringe to measure the oil and a typical kitchen jug to measure the fuel; one 5ml syringe to 250ml of fuel is 50:1
A garden machinery engine isn't going to be fussy about precision but the jug has a wide opening and a precise pour so easy to tip into from the jerry can and tip back from if I go over. The syringe is tied to the handle of the jug so it doesn't get lost. For larger amounts I just use the jug to measure out the oil..
I used to have a dosing bottle, which was useful, but it wandered off..
Oil lives in the bottle and refilled via the red cap. Controlled amounts are dispensed by slackening the green cap and squeezing the bottle to force oil into the small green chamber, which has measurements on, then poured out of the green hole into the Jerry can..
