What are favourite foods of builders and tradesmans?

Burger vans have disappeared around me. So has the cafes and corner shops selling bacon rolls and filled rolls. Coffee shops and Greggs have taken over along with fast food outlets. See trades in supermarkets now and tesco express. I take flask and sandwiches

Hahah ok it does sound that like I'm obsessed by builders but I'm not - I'm a talkative kind of person and love the banter here even when you guys get bad tempered with each other

When out and about, if I didn't go in the cafe, it was a Ginsters, or similar.In the cafe it was usually an omelette of some description, or poached eggs on toast, with lots of tea.

One of the things I've most been fond of over the years is a good old spaghetti bolognaise with parmasan cheese and garlic bread. Yummy - I used to like all day breakfasts but everybody started to say they were unhealthy so I stopped eating them

In my younger days it was always sausage, black pudding & tomato on toast with the occasional change to bacon & egg, washed down with a mug of tea but not a 'builders' tea, just a standard tea with 2 sugars and some milk.

Now you ask for something like that in a cafe and you get some fancy sandwich on bread you have never heard of and a cup of weak, coloured water.
