What have you been doing today?

Yep. They were supposed to phone me back with an update last night confirming that my missing credit had been replaced. No such call came. Going to get back on to them today. Of course, it would help if the people in the 'customer care' department of British Gas could speak clear English!

Yep, I found that problem too, when trying to deal with them. It seems that some companies deliberately employ poor English speakers, so they can tie you in knots trying to understand them, so you eventually just give up.

Any promises from BG - take with a large pinch of salt. Sometimes their calls are dealt with in a call centre in South Africa. If you can remember any Afrikaans it may help you.

Yep, they seem to employ the cheapest possible bid, to answer their phone calls, ignoring the need to actually speak understandable English.

Went for a stroll at Chorlton Water Park with my step-Mother.

The area was the site of Barlow Hall Farm and was excavated in the mid 1970s for sand and gravel to build the nearby M60 (then the M63). After the M-way was finished, the resulting pit was flooded and it opened in 1978.

Nearby Sale Water Park was also created from land excavated for material to build the motorway.

My flock is increasing. I’m now up to 12 pigeons waiting on my roof at 8.00 and 5.00 for feeding. We're going away to a wedding from Thursday to Sunday and I’m already feeling guilt that I won’t be here to feed them. They depend on me…. :(

I think that the current problem with our Susie could be down to her hoovering up the seed that the birds miss! I hope so anyway. 1,300+ quids worth of blood, poo and scans hasn’t revealed much that is causing the runny poo's she’d had and it does seem to coincide with when I do my scattering. She seems to be getting better on a grain free hypoallergenic diet and the bird seed is…..grain. I’m binning my remaining stock. Fingers crossed.

1300 quid?, could've bought 4 new tyres for that. ;)
