What have you bought today?

Hey, this is a light hearted thread about what people have bought today. It's not an opportunity for smunts to find fault with the purchases of others. You E done it three times on this page alone. Give it a rest.
I see you are making good use of the word I posted, that is all thanks to Roger's Profanisaurus , an excellent educational read.

The last two flights I've booked, one to Jersey and one to Malaga, were cheaper on BA that they were on the so-called budget airlines once you have figured in your luggage and seat allocation. The budget airlines are only any good if you are going without luggage.
I can’t get home from here with BA. I wanted to fly next Wednesday, Jet2 have a flight on Tuesday and Thursday and although Ryanair were only £40, their site was down for a while today. Besides, their flight arrives at 12:30 in the morning.
Although I could travel with just my rucksack, I want to bring some things back that I don’t use here, and fags for my neighbour :sneaky:

Might have a wander down the BM's, buy a few roof tiles, fence panel or 2.

Our diesel Volvo V40 was 150bhp and the road tax was free…although the DVLA still made you tax it every year and threatened to fine me if I didn’t ‘tax’ it.

On the flip side my L200 is £288 a year and the Trevor is £357  Need to be smarter in future years and SORN that from Oct to Mar.

Petrol for the generator...

Forgot the Jerry can was empty

Yesterday i ordered a new basin for the bathroom and was told of a delivery date next week...so obviously it turned up today. Not complaining. After several weeks of back-and-forth i'd settled on this basin, despite the cost of £150 because it fitted the criteria of being beautiful and practical.:D
The ceramic rang true with a thumb flick and the only downside is having to wait three weeks til it's due to be fitted.
I put one of the tiles to be used as a backsplash alongside to see how they work together and was pleased to see a synergy there: six tiles for less than a tenner but £30 delivery charge!
Good job Herself loves it since i've had to do a great deal of persuasion to spend so extravagantly on something you're going to spit toothpaste into but what the hey, y'only live twice, right?
