A chicken from the butchers. £8.75 and its smaller than one costing £3.50 from Sainsbury’s. It’ll be interesting to see if it tastes any better than a Sainsbury’s one when we have our roast tomorrow.

We've tried a fair few things from the butchers, the only things we've ever found better are sausages and bacon. Everything else we've tried has been both much more expensive and less tasty/poor quality. Actually their cooked ham is pretty good too.

Slightly better! Meat had a better texture and not so watery. I’d like to think it had a better life with no chemicals pumped into it to bulk it up. Mrs Mottie liked it so we will continue with it mainly to help out a local small business. If fact, were are going to have a go at buying all our meat from them and compare it.

Pack of suet nuggets, pack of dried mealworm, big bag of peanuts, 12 suet coconuts and a 12.5kg of mixed seed. Sum total came to almost £15 but well worth it so see our little friends enjoying the meals outside the window each day.
The bag of seed was only £4.99 for 12.5Kg On the same shelf about 2 feet away they were selling the exact same thing at £2.99 for a 1Kg bag. The coconuts were 75p each individually wrapped and the exact same thing £3.99 for a tray of 12 wrapped in cellophane.
Stripped all the feeders down and gave them a really good clean and sterilised before re-filling them.

That’s a result conny. I paid £10.99 just for my fatballs.

B&M at a retail park in the local town. (Actually it's about 10 miles away but the nearest one, LOL).

Went to supermarket for a small shop £35, we have a local discount card which gets a £3 discount over £30 so I showed to the checkout guy and it did not apply the discount, after some faffing at another till he told me to have the lot FOC, some discount!

I had a similar result about 15 years at Tesco's. I went to Tesco's to buy a PAYG phone for my Daughter - I think it was about £80 at the time but they were giving £20 off mobiles as long as you spent £40 on shopping. We bought wine. Spent the £40 and bought a phone. When I looked at the till reciept I saw that they hadn't deducted the £20 so the till lady told me to go to customer services (where I had to collect the phone from anyway). They told me they had to credit all the shopping and phone back and I had to re-purchace it to get the £20 discount. While they were busy crediting back the stuff, I noticed a sign behind them that said: "In the unlikely event that you are charged more than the ticket or shelf price for any of our goods, we will refund you in full and give you the goods for free"! WHOAAA! I pointed this out to the lady and she laughed and said "I bloody knew you'd clocked that"! I got the full refund on the mobile and they gave it to me for free.
