Oh dear, you have more problems then you thought, a back boiler has to have a dedicated fire front fitted as this forms part of the flue.

DO NOT USE IT and get someone in who knows what they are doing.

a back boiler in use without the fire is classed as a risk to danger to life or property.

The problem is with the pipe from the header tank to the system is blocked but less of your fiddling and get en expert in I feel!
