What is this cable please?

This used to go into the garden for some reason. I feel like this was some sort of earthing? Doesn't look to be wired to anything now. I'm laying new paving and it's in the way.

It does look green/yellow, so likely yes an earth cable. Seems you have a TN system, but if you have and UPS, or EV charging it is common to also have a independent earth as well, it will also reduce the voltage should you have a loss of PEN, so have an earth rod is a good idea.

I thought it may have been the orange cable that led to the FCU with the missing fuse, and no other cables running to it?

Is there anything the other side of the wall to the FCU, or any holes left open in the back box, where other cables could have previously entered?

Learned a new thing. Didn't know these are called micc cables. To answer your question, no, has no connection to the FCU.

Just to confirm, it is the orange cable you want removed?

What I'm concerned about, is if the cable used to be a FEED from somewhere else.
This appears to be a garage, could the cable have come from the house in the past to feed lighting, or something else in the garage?

Yes, the orange cable.

This cable goes into the garden. Maybe at some point there was a socket or light in garden. The FCU and the meter have always been in the garage.

Looks like it doesn't do anything now.
