I removed the upvc trim from around the inside window and it's damaged the plaster so I will need to repair it so what plaster should I use going over brick that needs to be about 20mm thick. I've seen a video where a plasterer said never use bonding plaster on brick or around upvc windows but in another video he did the exact thing he said not to do so now I don't know what to use.

I bought a bag or ready mixed mortar from Wickes. Masking tape around window. I had some wood glue so mixed 4 to 1 with water and sealed gap. Let that dry for an hour then filled with mortar. Damp sponge around to clean.
When dry toupret powder fill over with fibre fuse tape embedded tight against window.
Easy to use and will sand vs mesh that don't.
You could skip the fibre fuse tape but better with.
120 grade sand and a first coat of emulsion. I've used white paint until summer.
Then depending on what you think you could caulk around frame but I've not bothered. Might in summer if I get a crack around but so far it's fine.

Two I used but all the DIY stores sell.

Fibre fuse is a bit harder to find.
Shop around.
I cut in half so 25mm wide sometimes.
