What Plumbing /Heating Job do you not doing

I hate shower repairs, but love blocked toilets and drains.

I would clear drains all day long. No problem.

I love it so much that last week I fell down a manhole, first time in 20 years, luckily it was only 3' deep. But I did have to wash myself down with a hose.

Up to my knees in $hit.

Oh how I laughed

Andy

did you lose your lunch?

Tap Valves for Baths, basin,& sinks. And the guts for a WC system.

So many diffrent valves on the market these days and ware to get replacment vavles. By the time I hunt the right valve down I have to charge £150 to make it worth while and ware to get the buggers can be a pain
As for Toilet Cisterns getting the right guts that are compatable can be even harder.

I dont like replacing taps.

Because I quote a fixed price over the phone, thats usually a loss leader.

U so to be competitive I undercharge.

Even apparently simple jobs like replacing a stop tap should be easy but they can also be a job from hell if the street/external stopcock is not working or inaccessible.

Tony

Unfortunately no qualifications are required for that job so its also one that anyone can do

OH really !!! You never cease to amaze...............******

Thats where it pays to keep hold of shower mi's/info and have a good supplier that can get the parts. ;)

Thats where it pays to specialise, so you can provide a top notch service for the stuff you do, instead of an average service for everything.

Will never do a Worcester CDI Expansion Vessel again when it has to go back in the boiler. So time consuming.

I quite like de-sooting or re-gasketing old Baxi BBU's. Only in the afternoon though (with the de-soot's) as you end up a bit grubby. Netaheat gaskets are ok too.

Extracting an old immersion heater element from an equally old copper cylinder.... :(
'Sorry missus the cylinders leaking now'
John :)
