Friday night, one of my local shops had all of its windows smashed. Nothing remarkable about this I hear you say - except that it was the PDSA charity shop FFS!

Is nothing sacred anymore? Do we exist in a society where some amongst us see a charity shop as fair game?

I suppose they are oxygen thieves, spawned by a taxpayer funded underclass. Rant over.

Give it a while ... I'm sure one of the xenophobes on here will blame the Romas ... God forbid it could actually have been carried out by a white Englishman

Maybe the perpetrators were dyslexic?

No chance. You have to learn how to read to be dyslexic! How can you see letters in the wrong order if you don't even know what they are?

Unfortunately, I fear that the scum will always be with us. For better or worse, they are in our DNA. :( :( :(

There are some very bored people in the world who cannot connect their actions with the inconvenience and distress caused to others. Somewhere along the line, they will have been abused through neglect of some sort, emotionally, socially or intellectually.

Why this continues to be the case is a far more interesting question to consider than simply becoming angry by their actions.

In some cultures, such acts are extremely few and far between, and I don't think it's entirely the threat of extreme retributionist or utilitarian punishments that is the reason for it (in fact there's an argument that having these provides an additional "buzz" for such unpleasant acts, which assists in relieving the boredom and mundanity of these individual's lives). So, what do these cultures have that we don't - solve that and I think the problem will largely disappear.

It's more likely a question of what they don't have, such as Liberals, Chavs, and a totally corrupt and wealth focused Government.

I often think why kids, teenagers and adults show so much anger and alienated these days.

The answer is so simple

For those of you in the 40+ age group  time look back at your childhood.

This has done the rounds before, and does show how political correct madness is seriously creating a future of angry, violent, lawless society.

People who have no moral values and show no neighborly spirits.
They know no better, their freedom was taken away at birth, they are brain washed from birth, kids are not allowed to think for themselves.
PC do all the dictating what we are allowed to do and what is exceptable.

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, raw egg products, loads of bacon and processed meat, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Toffees, Gobstoppers, Bubble Gum and some bangers to blow up frogs with.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We got in to fights, shiners, cut lips or a bloody nose was expectable. Afterwards every on were friends. No police or law suits were ever mentioned.

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of old prams and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. We built tree houses and dens and played in river beds with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo Wii , X-boxes, no video games at all, no 999 channels on SKY , no video/dvd films, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
Lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given air guns and catapults for our 10th birthdays, (NEVER KILLED ANYONE)

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

RUGBY and CRICKET had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! Getting into the team was based on MERIT (money did not buy you a team place)

Our teachers used to hit us with canes and gym shoes and bully's always ruled the playground at school.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.
They actually sided with the law!

18th birthdays were something to celibrate, 1st legal taste of alcohol.
(pubs were a no go area for the underage)

We had FREEDOM, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL !

Its called a 'lack of respect' for others and their property.

One of our local allotment sites is being plagued by vandalism, vegetable plants are being uprooted and sheds set on fire on a regular basis. The blame is being laid at the door of the local youth club which just happens to be directly opposite.

The allotment owners wanted to put barbed wire over the fence to deter vandals but are not allowed to in case the vandals get hurt climbing in. (FFS  isn't that the point of barbed wire)

The lunatics are running the asylum.
