Is this a floating insulation floor? Or would I need something else under this as well? I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible as well.
I think they a more protection mats: protection against damage to your existing floor. The foam absorbs the shock from heavy movement and/or dropping heavy stuff on it.
A floating insulation floor, in my opinion, is more a (wooden) floor installed floating on top of insulation (Polyfoam). When installing that on concrete/screed use DPM and insulation.
