An adjustable try square is the best description I can give. I want to cut 20-odd T&G boards to go along a sloping flat roof; with the same angle.

What tool is that?

I've used one on these for a similar job. You can sit the adjuster along the length of the board.

Or measure and cut one and then use the cut piece as a guide for all the others

If doing this, always use the first piece cut as the guide for all the pieces. If you use the last one cut, you can easily get an accumulating error.
