Hi all,
I want to make a wooden covering "door" to hide an inset door in my living room. The idea is that the ugly inset door (that's rarely used) will disappear as best as possible. I was thinking something extremely plain and simple like a narrow frame tacked onto the wall, then a piece of MDF/Plywood the same width as the frame as the door so the hinges can be hidden, everything painted white.
No handle, just some magnetic fixings on frame and door to secure.
What wood is best for this purpose - having read some other threads here would 18mm MDF be ideal?
Any other ideas as to how to make this very unobtrusive and blending into the white wall welcome.
Thanks
