My roof has an issue with the tiles splintering every time there is a frost. Each spring I scoop the pieces of tile out of the gutters to stop them travelling into the drains.
There are no leaks inside the building, but I am wondering how long left I've got. I did find some of the ridge tiles had huge gaping holes two summers ago so I climbed up and replaced them with new ones.
95% of the damage tiles are the ones that have been cut along the gulley, as per the image.
Thing is, is it even possible to replace the tiles in the photo without pretty much taking the whole thing off?
If it's a whole roof job I won't attempt to DIY it, but I'm comfy with sand, cement and a trowel (and an angle grinder) so I wonder if I could replace just these damaged ones?
