Ok.- The new hob is 7.4kW, the old one 7.2kW.
- The old hob has been used for 12 months without any noticeable problems, certainly nothing ever tripped.
And then only for a very short time.- 7.4kW is only ever likely to be drawn with all burners switched on at max.
In the U.K. a 7.4kW hob would be perfectly acceptable on a 25A circuit but I don't know what is allowed in Spain - although the physics is obviously the same.- It's on a C25 breaker (pic in earlier post) which I believe means a max of 25A.
It is but, as said, drawing that amount will only be for a very short time until the rings start cycling off an on - more off than on; especially an induction hob- The label on the cable (pic in earlier post) of the new hob suggests the rating should really be 32A.
.
Yes - but it won'tIs the worst that can happen that the breaker will trip?
No.Or could I cause more damage?
