Went to Majorca once and loved it we stayed in Alcudia in a nice low level hotel there are a couple of tall ones called Saturn and Mars or was it jupiter?? and I'm told that they should be avoided ha ha! I don't know and I 've never been to Tenerife but friends say not to go to the north as it rains alot so stay down south.they say Lanzarote is the best weather wise.

My brother lives there and his inlaws leave their apartment and live in a summer house all summer so we can have their apartment as long as we want it. We go over there most years.

Puerto rico in Gran Canaria is the hottest of all the seven islands, it's at the lowest point and all the hotels is built in the concave mountain, normally 10 degree hotter than next door Playa de Ingles and also you don't get any trade winds in puerto rico as you do elsewhere.Richardp said:

went to Sweden , a few years ago to a wedding
people lovely an friendly ..
countryside stunning ..
went swimming in this lakeside hotel , water crystal clear an very cold an refreshing ,many were nude I kept my shorts on as the water was too cold ..lol
bad points
pint of larger then £7
food all raw fish an organic stuff ...
no porn mags in their paper shops mind thought it was a liberal society ..lol
were going to St. Maarten Bahamas Oct/Nov,staying with a friend out there ..

nah ... better than than that my wife an I are staying at a very plush beachfront villa , old mate Wendy ,
she landed on her feet marrying a rich old yank while working on the cruise ships as a hairdresser..
now hes popped his clogs she gets lonely ?
as long as there is plenty of Red stripe ,Im happy ..lol

sorry .. I meant to say .. btw you sail dont you ?
her hubby has a boat ..not boat , sailing sloop those with the two hulls joined ,
anyway her gardener there charters it to the yank tourists , its 4 birth catererman I think ,with a diesal lister an petter inboard motor engine Im told as if that means much to me ..lol
so maybe pugwash you may get an invite , how hard are they to sail anyway ..??????
