Tragic. Especially with a young family. However, it has to be said that he was virtually asking for it by taking zero precautions before going under the car.

Quite a few manufacturers are no longer providing car jacks as standard equipment as they want customersl to rely on those crass puncture-repair kits to get the vehicle to the garage for the replacement tyre. Not discounting the tragedy of this incident but presumably it rather endorses the manufacturer’s position (regrettably).

Not much use if you have a biggish puncture such as running over a piece of slate.
