Seems very quiet compared to previous years where fireworks were going off for nearly all of October. :D

The credit crunch must be working as people no longer have money to burn

Is it the same every where else :?:

It was quiet last year as well. Maybe some common sense is seeping into the population....? Fireworks are damned expensive as well.

It's been not too bad here - so far. Just the odd burst of noise.

I wish they'd ban the bloody things though - I've got one dog a quivering wreck on valium and the other running back and forth wondering what's going on.

I'm counting down the days till i can light my sparkler :D

Whatever floats yer boat!!!!

I don't mind sparklers - they're not noisy. It's my poor dog I'm worried about.

My brother got chinese sky lanterns for his kid cos he thought they'd be pretty without freaking the dogs out.

We've had a couple of trial runs.

We're waiting on the cops hunting us down for arson.............................

I wish they'd ban the b****y things .

your a bag of joy you are. don't be so miserable

I love watching firework displays but I just think that the public sale of explosives should be banned and that it's just organised public displays. They're much better than watching Jim next door with his damp squib!!!!

Having worked in the emergency services, I've seen the damage that fireworks can do.

as anything theirs always someone that wants to go over the top and be silly an spoil it for everyone.
