Second question on here.
We are having a new boiler soon.
The choice is between a Valiant open vent boiler and a Valiant power store 937 boiler.
We have a four bedroom detached house with one bathroom, one ensuite, one cloakroom and one kitchen. There are 15 radiators. There are two adults and three teenage children, plus regular guests who all compete for bathroom time. And it is a pain a lot of the time waiting for the tank to heat up with the present system. The mains water pressure is good.
The bathroom has an over bath electric shower, which we are debating on changing to a thermostatic shower fed from the boiler as we prefer the flow from one of these but unsure of losing the back up of an electric shower if the boiler fails.
The ensuite already has a thermostatic shower which we like, but we are going to be adding a bath in here soon as well.
One important benefit to us of the Valiant 937 boiler is the gain of the airing cupboard space to increase the bathroom size.
The price and installing costs are less important to us compared to a system that suits out needs and to have a system with future lower running costs.
However the installer is suggesting the Valiant open vent boiler, and is coming back next week to discuss it. I would value opinions before I spoke to him.

if you have good flow and pressure than an unvented boiler might be a better option. would not have a 937 personally.

Any reason why you wouldn't choose the 937? We've installed a rake of them without any issues.

Unvented cylinder rather than 937, or hybrid solution if you really are that desperate for room, glow worm ultrastore is the best of both worlds and also has back up provided by immersion heaters

glow worm ultrapower. A cross between combi and unvented cylinder.
Delivery rates of unvented cylinders but never run out of hot water.
Also works just as a combi when not many in the house.
Electric immersion heater as backup.
Will outperform a 300 litre unvented cylinder and all in the nice one box.
