Which direction to lay laminate flooring

DIYer laying 12mm laminate flooring in a sitting room 6m x 4m. I know to lay from left to right. two doors (red arrows) in/out of this room which would be the best direction to lay horizontal or vertical.

Dry lay a little in the centre of the room & try it short way - long way - or into the natural light?
