which is the best combi

Clarko it is very handy to be able to start on new (to you) work at a mate's, but 250 is very low for doing all the work. Depends what's coming out, if anything of course. Don't forget adequate flushing whether it's old or new pipework. Normal sort of price for a combi swap in outer London , say, would be something like £1300 + vat for a Vaillant. Some aren't vat regd and charge a bit less anyway

I have done it in a day but with proper cleaning and tidy pipework under the boiler, I allow 2 days. Sometimes it goes to a third. Especially if there's new gas pipe or programmer/room stat. Plenty of guys are quicker than me though!

Don't know how new you are to plummin, but don't forget to charge enough for the bits - you always need to buy extra fittings etc which go into stock, but I always make sure most of it gets covered by the job.
