Which Lambda sensor?

Difficult to say. I've got a set of 6 plus an individual swivel neck 1 like the 1 you linked. I like to use that most. But....

I just pick the 1 that fits the car/location best.

Sealey sx032 is similar to what I've got.

The sensors are usually in an awkward place so it's useful for me. But difficult to advise which 1/type you'd need

Thanks.
I'll get the swivel neck and if it doesn't work I can always send it back.

Ok, I got it out pretty easily with the swivel neck tool.
Probably spraying the thread with wd40 several times over a week has helped.
Now, when I fit the new one, should I put grease on the thread?
If so, copper grease, moly grease, lithium grease or what?

Thanks

Ok, thanks.
All done and error cleared with vcds.
Taken engine to operating temperature and fault didn't come back.
Got to take it out for a run to see if it's cured it or there's something else.
Let's hope for the best.

Thanks!

Oh, and btw, the other 2 errors have disappeared

Bank 1 is relevant if v engine etc, but if straight 4 it's just them 4.

Sensor 1 is precat
Sensor 2 is after cat.

Ngk (or ntk) always, or main dealer (likely ntk or bosch). Never. Never Never use a universal or a cheapy
WTF!
Today the EML light came back.
Scanned and it's now O2 sensor 2 malfunctioning.
So accordingly to what we said a few months ago, this is the post cat.
Damn thing, why don't we just have straight through exhausts???

Emissions.

If it's sensor 2, clear the code and see if it returns before changing it

Yes, done that and it's not returned in the following 5 miles.
Not going out again tonight, unless I'm pulled to the pub by some bad irishmen :ROFLMAO:
What exactly was the code?

Weird one:
O2 sensor circuit
0000 Bank 1 Sensor 2
No activity detected

When you do go for a run, make it a good 1.

Get the exhaust and the sensor fully (FULLY) warm. They often play up if they don't get up to full temperature often enough

The post cat sensor suffers from this more than the precat because of the exhaust temperatures involved

If you are going to put a new sensor, before throwing a new one in, inspect the wires at the sensor.

A similar code on one of my Vauxhalls, it was a spliced signal wire.

Hi guys, updating this thread in case someone gets in the same situation.
After last time, I removed the post cat sensor (came out fairly easy, also easy access), cleaned it and re-installed.
Cleared the fault and the eml went.
A few weeks later it reappeared, so I've cleared the code another couple of times because it was too cold to be outside under the car.
Now that it's warming up a bit, I'm going to attack this job.
Not that it's a difficult one, but I still need to take the jack, stand, trolley and tools out of the shed to do this o_O
I wish I had an inspection pit!
Can't find an ngk sensor for reasonable price.
Would bosch be ok?
It's a 20 year old car, so not inclined to spend big money on it.
