Hi guys
Im doing a jb next week which is fastening some 11mm plywood slats to my ceiling. Its a big space so id like to use a nailgun.... but dont own a nailgun.

Can anyone advise if theres a £50 or so nailgun that would be suitable for the task? Its probably not worth me spending more as its likely the only time illl ever need a nailgun.

theres a few corded ones on screwfix for £35 but Im not sure if 11mm ply will be too much for them,

Any advice appreciated.

are you nailing wood to wood

if so i would suggest 32mm is a bit too short as 18 gauge pins[nails ] have very restricted pull out resistance and small heads
you can increase the pull out resistance by alternating nails at about 35-40 degrees left and right so its pull resistance further backed up by the nail having bend as it pulls out so increasing resistance
32mm is ideal for say 7.2mm-9mm txg cladding on to battons at 35% into the tounge
