Which would you buy?

The Accrington's at the top of my house are as hard as the ones at the bottom!

Anyway, back to the test bed. Same drill bit, same brick, DeWalt 18v combi:

It does go through, takes nearly twice as long which isn't the end of the world, what is different is the amount of effort needed to push it through - where as the SDS pretty much needed just holding in place, the combi needed a fair bit of force behind it - which is the problem when you're leaning out from a ladder.

This is the pair of them where I've let the drill do the work - I think it really illustrates the difference:

Be careful how many holes that you need to drill at the top of your house!

If a normal bit don't cut it, I find the Heller or Fischer specialist bits to be great in a typical non-enginner brick or block with a normal impact drill.

Each to their own but that does seem underpowered and whether twice as long is better than half more weight on a ladder, is one for another thread.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I highly recommend the 4 flute sds bits. Mine are makita bits and can cut through (read: bend past?) reinforcing bars in concrete lintels.
