You're right their Ken, diet is only half the story. I used to row at a pretty decent level (national competitions), and would pack away food like it was going out of fashion. But I was still super-buff (you have to be if you are going to wear skin-tight lycra!) because of the amount of exercise I did. I probably ate far more calories than really fat blokes. Really need to get back into it, you feel so healthy when you do that much exercise, and quite often I would run places, just because I could. Like on a Friday night, going down the pub, only 2 miles, I'll run.
I am sure they also say you should do a minimum of 20 minutes CV exercise per day too. Thing is, I belong to a gym but hardly ever go. Down to laziness mainly.
