They are just good old fashioned high and low pressure cut off switches
Low pressure was for when the system was obviously low
The high pressure was not for over filling but for if the expansion vessel went ........... I would assume this system is about early 80s when expansion vessels were a lot less robust than now and just having a 3bar safety valve was no considered enough ......... We have become very casual about pressurised systems now a days ..... Im sure the older of us remember fitting a spring loaded safety valve on the flow on conventional systems in peoples houses!! Guaranteed to leak and get some more work 2 years down the line
