Forecast suggested snow, but not here. It's here and settling, around an inch so far. The first this winter.

Yorkshire! I think I'm about thirty or so miles west of Harry. The temperature is a couple of degrees below forecast, so we also have snow settling.
But I'm sure we've had several inches of snow already this winter. Can't remember exactly when. Maybe before Christmas.

I'm too old - and off to Scotland tomorrow - to be at all thrilled by the prospect of snow in the UK ever again 
I didn't think it would settle here either but here is the proof, 20 miles NW of Lincoln

I’m in Keswick ATM and it’s only slightly white on higher ground
11°C down this neck of the woods, deckchairs and sombreros today.
It peaked at +3.4C, at 10am, then went down from there, as the snow began. Bottomed out at 1.1C at 15:00.
