Hi, might be a silly question but we are about to start with our orangery project (oak clad steel frame) and was wondering who would be best to contact to build the roof once the frame was complete? For info, the steel frame has 2 cranked beams to a top ring beam but the rest of the roof will be in timber. Ideally we would like the roof trusses to be exposed at the gutter end and therefore would like oak to be used.
Ignoring the lantern, would a carpenter build the roof and then a roofer cover it or would a roofer be able to build too?
Pic to give an idea of shape etc
Many thanks
