some really interesting points made there chaps.
personally, ive never understood the whole 95% thing at cef, very odd but i guess it does force you into the account thing. there own brand stuff, tamlite etc.. is a bit naff, its made in redditch so that could explain a lot
i found eddies, on a local scale, to be excellent. a bit pricey with some of there gear but terrible if your out of town. i went into a another branch who refused to serve me as they didnt make any money out of the sale.
ive heard the same with a certain denmans branch as they work on the same structure although ive found them to be the cheapest on cable, its actually a loss leader in most cases.
I do find the attitude some people who use our branch to be amazingly rude, condecending and obnoxious. i find this highly amusing on a cash sale basis... a discount sir? pffft.. yeah right.
and you would be surprised the amount of 'electricians' that have no idea what they are doing...
'the 3 timeclocks you sold me are crap, they keep going wrong!'
"what are you switching sir"
'4 metal halides'
"theres your problem then, you need a contactor"
'oh right, how do you wire one of them?'
on a side point, WF, Neweys, Senate and denmans are all part of the rexel group who are french, make of that what you will
