My last gas bill, for the quarter, with British gas, was £2.97! Having no standing charge really benefits me.

Yes, so most people should be careful that it's not they who are subsidising RD.

There's always a standing charge although marketing suits may hide it one way or another. If they do, someone like RD can benefit. Bit like Powergen, who have a standing charge only rate for pensioners. If you're a high user take advantage of it. Takles 'em a couple of years to catch on & increase your charges.
