Why do my kitchen lights flicker when my power shower is turned on?

As a metter of interest, was the guy who did the work a member of a certification scheme like NICIEC? Did he say he added a new circuit to your relatively new CU? If he did, did he add a new MCB, RCBO or whatever to your CU? If he did he'd probably have shown it to you before he left. I do wonder what circuit the shower is now drawing its current from.

Good point, maybe add some photos of the Consumer unit and the RCBO/MCB in there
