Sensible, especially if you were black and living in the USA. There is a high possibility you could die.

I got arrested in Boulder Colorado for smoking Pot on a street corner. I knew to resist would be very foolish. American cops take very little shît

You're lucky you weren't caught trying to cross the road.

"On Thursday January 4, 2007 historian Felipe Fernandez-Armesto was arrested by Atlanta police as he crossed the middle of the street between the Hilton and Hyatt hotels. After being thrown on the ground and handcuffed, the former Oxford don and now a professor at Tufts was formally arrested and thrown in jail. He remained incarcerated for eight hours until finally prosecutors let him go. He was in Atlanta to attend the annual meeting of the American Historical Association."

I feel a song coming on . . . .

I was once caught crossing the Mexican border with a trunk full of marijuana.

"Pull over son, said the man with a gun, I believe you're breaking the law".

How did you follow up your wrongful arrest? When was it, by the way and how old were you?

Funny you say that.
I was staying at a guest house in the Chitwan National Park. Two well spoken posh Scottish girls called to show me marijuana growing the field.... I collected some seeds and put them in my wallet and forgot. I didn't remember them until I'd crossed the Indian border then after a month left India for Moscow via Kyrgyzstan. .. I did some silly things when I was young.

Or jogging. Apparently, if you are black and jogging, you are at high risk of death.

Jogging between burglary's has always been extremely dangerous.

It's called an 'occupational hazard' when the 'good ole' boys' jump in 'dem cars & pop a cap in your chest.

17 maybe. Down the bottom of my estate.

Some lads I knew hit a couple of innocent young fellas I didn't know.
I was trying to make peace

Cops where a bit shįty even though the fellas said it was not me. No follow up.

Or if the cop hadn't murdered him.

Lying flat on the ground gasping "I can't breathe" while handcuffed must have seemed very threatening to three heavily armed and trained cops

I'm sure Andy would have killed him if the opportunity arose.
Should be policy. Resist arrest get your kneecaps blown away. Not rocket science.

If a known criminal who has been known to carry Guns resists arrest then for the safety of the public and Police officers he needs to be taken down......
