Many thanks. I guess it's probably worth including links to both in the wiki, although the documents may be too detailed (and/or 'beyond') some DIYers.

Contrary to what I previously wrote, I am familiar with HSG85, but didn't recognise it from it's 'number' - I think of it as 'a guide to EAWR'!

2: ISOLATE (DISCONNECT ELECTRICITY FROM) THE CIRCUIT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
The safest approach is to switch off the ‘Main Switch’ of your Consumer Unit (CU) or fuse board, thereby switching off all electricity in your house.

There isn't always a main switch, its fairly common, particularly in older places, to have several fuseboards that need turning off before everythings isolated.

Interesting point - it's so long since I saw such an installation (even though I was 'brought up' on them!) that I had overlooked that possibility. I'll think about how the wording could be adjusted to accommodate such situations.. Thanks.
