Sorry thats not true.
Years ago, if the ARC recieved a line fault yes they would "police it" because it was assumed bad people had cut the line with the intent of breaking into the protected premises
But quite often a line fault was caused by BT, be that directly or indirectly. So the police do not attend line faults anymore, instead the keyholder gets a call to say the line has gone down. its then up to the keyholder what to do.
