Before I set up my own business a few years ago I was working all day and my wife worked most evenings. It's not much fun getting home at 7pm on a cold dark night to be met by your wife waiting for you on the doorstep because she's late for work, who hands you a small child who she informs you has just filled his nappy, and your tea is beans on toast and it's still in the cupboard! This is no word of exaggeration.

Thank god those days are gone.

Only half the story--what happened? did she take off with her boss--did you get rid of the kid and get a dog--or did you start having your tea down the pub with all the other sane men?

I only work about 30 hrs now, she works one or two mornings and I'm her boss . The kids stopped wearing nappies and are usually slouched in front of a computer screen or out playing footie when I get in. Wouldn't want to have tea in the pub, my wife is an experienced chef, but she cooks for us now instead of for other people! Yes, I do know how lucky I am.
