Hi,

With increased number of the window companies, I'm finding it really confusing which company to go for the installation. I thought that I will choose company offering best product with essential certificates.

I'm looking on the advise on which certificates to look for apart from FENSA.
Should I be looking for any of the below certificates or any other which is not mentioned by me? Should I be going for toughened glass or laminated glass or PAS 24 windows?

1. Secure by design
2. Bsi ISO 9001 mark
3. PAS 24

Lots of variables ...

Fensa aren't the only competent persons scheme, there is also Certass, Assure , BsI and std building control.

Your other 3 options are really personal preference and much more to do with the actual security of the windows and doors. Toughened or Laminate would have to be used in 'critical ' locations ( below 800mm and within 300mm of a door and any other location where there is a risk )...other than that again it's personal choice. Really depends on your location and your fears of being broken into...so I wouldn't get too hung up on Pas24 , secured by design or isolation.9001, you'll pay a lot more for those three than standard windows

It's helpful, thank you.
