Wintex Connection Could not be Established

As a rule a comport should be programmed as not used to connect a usb com and use wintex.

Unfortunately the com port adapter Texecom used to supply with the smart com no longer is and has to be purchased separately.

If you have a smart com connected then you don’t need to be using a usb com lead in the first place.

I think main issue is my internet is via a 4g modem and port forwarding isn't great.

It works on USB but not via SmartComm

smartcom shouldn't need port forwarding its a cloud based system. data wise it doesn't use a lot.

has wintex been setup for smartcom use, is the wintex version the latest as they periodically update the security certificates.

I was on a texecom site but not the same as the one you linked to.
