Wiring a burglar alarm

The terminals on the keypad should be labelled and the manual I linked you to gives instructions.

Keypad working, yippee!!
Time set.
But it won’t let me leave installer mode, as ‘tamper zone 1’ then listing through all zones. Just keep saying this over and over. There wasn’t anywhere to put a tamper for zones, so I don’t understand.

You do have the front on the panel don't you, or the microswitch pushed in, if not it thinks its a tamper. Failing that short the tamper zones until it stops erroring, then you know which zone is causing the issue.

I have tried to put the cover on with no luck. And can’t see a tamper micro switch. What do you mean ‘short the tamper zones’?

Hello,

I had a relook. I have left the comm a/t where the zones are wired in empty, but I this a tamper loop is supposed to go here. What is a tamper loop practically, is this a wire going from one to the other comm a/t to create a loop?

I have managed to get rid of zone tampers, and zone opens. My keypad is error light free, and displays date and time, with a 9651 number (not sure what that is).

I still have a problem. I’m sorry. So, the external bell. I wired the red and black into the 12 and 0V. Yellow and blue to OP1 and 2 and green to TR. The moment the red is plugged into the 12V the external bell sirens. I have not managed to stop the alarm without taking the lid off box and undoing the red wire.
When I take the lid off and undo the red wire, the keypad says lid and bell tamper. And I can’t stop the siren, not particularly popular with the neighbours at the moment.

Anyone have any suggestions where I’ve gone wrong. Thank you

9651 number is the model number of the panel, tamper loop is a connection that should always be closed circuit, even when the alarm is not set, if it goes open circuit, ie if a wire is cut, it alarms, that is a tamper alarm, also passives and panels usually have a small microswitch, usually with a little spring, that gets held switched when the cover is on the item, if you remove cover, the switch opens and again you get a tamper alarm.

Re the bell box, again you probably have it wired wrong, the lid tamper is again, a microswitch in the bell box, so when you open it, you are adding a tamper fault.

That you for your amazing help. I will try different combos, as I think the wiring is right, maybe the colour choice of wired is wrong. Other than getting a ladder to check reach the bell and dismantle, is there anyway to know what wires were used?
