We don't - we don't know much given the information received. BUT, if there was a loop connected at the switch, then it should stay there. If it's tucked away in a terminal block, then it should stay there. It makes no difference.
Either the OP has disconnected the original switch and doesn't know what's what, or he hasn't grasped what we're telling him.
