Wiring new ceiling rose

Hi
I've just bought a new light for the hallway which has a metal fixing and candelabra. I need to replace the existing plastic pendant fitting but the new light has only come with one junction box for the neutral, live and earth wires. The old pendant light fitting has all of the existing loop Circuit wired into it. Is there an easier way to rewire this new light fitting into the circuit rather than putting in a new junction box above the ceiling (Which would have to be done by an electrician). Id love to do it myself if possible. I've posted pictures of the existing plastic pendant light fitting and the small junction box included with the new light fitting. Thanks in advance!

You need another terminal block for the red wires in the centre.

As your fitting is not double insulated, throw away that stupid connector block and get yourself a strip of 15A connectors. One for the ‘loop’ section of the rose, then one each for neutral, earth and switched live (Black with red tape)

If you’re a pushed for room in the cup that fits to the ceiling you can split them into 4 individual connectors but they must remain between the fitting and the ceiling, and not be pushed up into the ceiling

Yes. Just put the red wires in a separate connector block.

1 connector block with all 3 red wires in;
1 connector block with the two black and the new light blue wire in;
1 connector block with the black with red tape and the new light brown wire in; and
1 connector block with the earth wire in and the two earth wires from the new light (one fixed to the case and the other to the light).

Is that all right?

That's the way to do it.

Thanks guys. Does it matter if I put one red wire in one side of the connector and two in the other or all three in one side? Can't see it makes a difference but just wanted to check! Thanks!
