University policy prioritised silencing what would be referred to by trans activists as Gender Critical views over freedom of speech and critical thinking on the subject.
So called WOKE Gender Theory is the idea that you must not challenge a Gender Theory that asserts that the body can be amended to match self-perception, irrelevant of biology.

Unfortunately, there is a small group of well funded trans activists, pushing trans ideology and taking action against anyone/anything that doesn't agree with their thinking. The University was between a rock and a hard place, but they should amend their policy and appeal the scale of the fine rather than arguing.

Hence its a fine for being WOKE.

I suspect the University is a bit miffed. Not at the scale of the fine, but the impact on their whole department dedicated to WOKEism. You can even do a masters in Gender Theory.

Googling shows there is "gender theory" aka "gender ideology". I cannot find any theory called "woke gender theory".
