Says it all - you can't have gender bias in legislation such that one group is afforded less protection or allowed more leeway than another.Passing sentence Judge Peter Jacobs told her: "If this was a 35-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl no one would raise an eyebrow if he was sent to prison."
Equality seems to be the card being played here. However, men and women aren't completely equal, are they? Especially at that age. 15 year old boys go around trying to get 'in' whilst 15 year old girls spend their time trying to keep the boys 'out' (well most do anyway!)
The court heard there was no victim impact statement as he had been a willing party.
So the judge's argument is flawed, I reckon he was just jealous that the woman was dishing it out to young men but probably wouldn't give his wrinkly old tadger a second look in a million years
Slap on the wrists for the randy old bird maybe, but put away for 15 months? Some murderers don't get much more than that.
There was no mention of whether or not the lad was a virgin at the time. If not, should the punishment have still been as severe? (...to those of you that thought it just)
