There was a discussion about the various types here

A Bosch AXT Rapid 2200 was recommended earlier. That is an example of an impact shredder, it relies on the impact of a sharp blade to cut the material.
IME they cut into long pieces rather than shredding so I would stay clear. Also they are very noisy.

Occasionally Aldi / Lidl have quiet (cog or drum pressing against a plate) shredders. I know that is not much good if you need one now.

No it doesn't, it cuts everything into tiny bits not long bits.

It helps if you respond to what is said. I never said impact shredders cut brash into long pieces - "IME they cut into long pieces rather than shredding".

You seem to offering a guarantee that every example of every single make of impact shredder cuts brash into tiny pieces. Is that really what you mean? If so, how many machines is that based on?
