Hi, my combi boiler is constantly losing water pressure. After re-pressurising to about 2bars it tends to last about 5 or 6 hours before hitting zero where upon i have to refill the system. I've read various posts about leaks and pressure relief valves but i haven't spotted anything as yet. However I do live in a bungalow and my boiler is in the loft with all the radiators down stairs. As of yet I haven't had chance to look under the floor boards on the ground floor. Also the pipe from the pressure relief valve discharges into the guttering and I haven't had chance to go up and take a look.

I promise to do all of this....however...it has only started happening since I removed two radiators in order to do some decorating! Surely not a coincidence? After removing the radiators, one of the valves was leaking slightly for a couple of days before i noticed it but this has been tightened up and since then it's all been dry as a bone.

Any ideas anyone?

Check to see what the pressure does when you turn on the heating, does it rise above 3bar if so the PRV will open and release pressure. put about .5 or 1 bar in and see what happens it could be a leak or a faulty expansion vessel
