Never tell an engineer what the problem is ( or likely to be ).So from your expert experience would you recommend I contact an RGI or local engineer and mention what you have posted or see what they suggest?
He either knows, in which case it is superfluous or he does not know, in which case you would be doing his job for him.
Worst case scenario, our long distance diagnosis is wrong, and he would be entitled to charge for the unnecessary work because you asked him to do it.
