Hi All,
Could some one point me in the right direction with a problem i have with my boiler.
I had water ingress down the flue from a broken gutter down pipe into the boiler.
I have noticed that one of the fuses on the circuit board blows when i try to re-ignite the pilot light. I have disconected the extraction fan and put a meter across the fuse and i get 240 volts and the fuses does not blow, this also happen when the fan is connected but as soon as i teurn the central heating on the fuse blows again.
I then put a meter across the fan motor to see what ohms there are , which should be between 75 - 175 ohms, my findings are less than 50 ohms. I then tried to dry the motor and again the reading was up to 85 but the fuse keeps blowing on the circuit board.
is it the fan motpor thats causing the problem or am i missing something else ?
please help, my house is freezing and i can't even shower.
Kindest Regards
